Stretching, both literally and figuratively, is vital for all aspects of life, offering a myriad of benefits for the body, mind and soul. It plays a crucial role in increasing flexibility, thereby preventing injured muscles and broken relationships.

Moreover, physical stretching improves strength of muscles, it enhances freedom of movement and contributes to relaxation and mental well-being.

No matter your fitness level or age, incorporating physical stretching into your daily regimen is essential for overall health and fitness and I’ve found it supports me in finding ways to stretch my mind and spirit.

A few of my favorite resources for guiding me in physical stretching are Yoga Body's Science of Stretching program. A bit pricey considering you can get so much stretching content on YouTube for free, but the way Lucas leads the sessions and constantly reminds me to take it slow, well, it really seems to be working for me.

Another resource I like is Built to Move by Juliet & Kelly Starrett. Some of it may seem a little radical and fussy, but I like their approach and have found that sitting on the floor for part of each day is actually quite pleasant. Surprising!
